Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement to purchase our services. If you purchase for a church or organization, you confirm that you have authority to act for it.

You are responsible for giving accurate information, protecting your login credentials, and promptly notifying us if you believe an account has been accessed without permission. You may not sell, publish, or openly share account credentials.

Unless the checkout page states otherwise, a church-access purchase gives one church or local organization a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the purchased training and included resources internally with its pastors, staff, leaders, finance team, volunteers, and members.

This is permission to use the material; ownership is not transferred. Separate churches, campuses operating as separate organizations, associations, networks, denominations, consultants, or training companies must obtain their own permission unless we agree otherwise in writing.

You may not use ScamSmartChurch content in a way that violates law, harms another person, interferes with the website, or exceeds the license provided.

ScamSmartChurch provides practical education to help people recognize suspicious messages, slow down, verify requests, and respond more safely. The training is general education—not legal, financial, insurance, law-enforcement, or professional cybersecurity advice.

No training can identify or prevent every scam, loss, security incident, or mistake. Scammers change their methods, and outcomes depend on the facts of each situation. You remain responsible for your church’s decisions, policies, accounts, technology, payments, and incident response. When a situation is serious or uncertain, contact the relevant bank, service provider, law-enforcement agency, attorney, insurer, or qualified security professional.

Prices, included materials, and access terms are those shown at checkout when you purchase. You agree to provide current payment and billing information and authorize the payment processor to charge the displayed amount.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Approved refunds end the refunded license and may end course access. You must stop using and distributing refunded materials.

Our website, email, course access, and payments rely on third-party providers, including Systeme.io and Stripe. Their services and policies may also apply to your use. We are not responsible for third-party websites, content, outages, security, or privacy practices.

We work to keep the services available, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We may maintain, change, suspend, or discontinue a feature when reasonably necessary. If a technical problem blocks purchased access, contact us so we can investigate and provide a reasonable solution.

ScamSmartChurch’s lessons, scripts, videos, graphics, downloads, trademarks, and original website content are owned by ScamSmartChurch or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim warranties that are not expressly stated in writing. ScamSmartChurch is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost funds, data, revenue, or opportunity, arising from use of or inability to use the services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ScamSmartChurch’s total liability for a claim relating to a purchased service will not exceed the amount you paid ScamSmartChurch for that service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that law does not allow us to exclude.

We may suspend or end access when we reasonably believe these Terms were materially violated, an account is being misused, payment was reversed, or action is needed to protect users or the service. Terms concerning ownership, prohibited use, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and payment obligations continue after access ends.

We may update these Terms as our services or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or another reasonable method.

These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a legal claim, both sides agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue informally.

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, and any written checkout terms form the agreement for the services they cover.
